Safety Equipment: You should have access to the following Safety Equipment:
- First Aid Kit
- Pair of Safety Glasses
- Fire Extinguisher
Other Safety Equipment that Professional Installers should carry but Handymen doing one off type installations shouldn’t require but can be useful depending on what you are installing:
- Hard Hat
- High Visibility Vest
- Boots
- Disposal Face Masks
Working Under Vehicles and Equipment: Always make sure that the Vehicle or Equipment is immobilized and if on Blocks of Hoists that it is safe and the hoists have a certificate of approval
Hazard Management: You should always Identify what hazards exist; Discuss with your Manager, Partner or Family what you are doing, Decide what controls, if any, need to be put in place and Implement the controls
Emergency Procedures: You should always Know what to do in an Emergency and ensure your First Aid Kit is available and well stocked
